CLIMATE

VALLEY

Bundling local initiatives for a

sustainable, climate friendly

and circular economy.

OBJECTIVE OF CLIMATE VALLEY

To develop Climate Valley as a network concept in the participating regions, creating a large number

of local or regional sustainable, climate adaptation, “clean tech” or circular economy oriented pilots

or (bottom-up, cooperative) models, combining “quadruple helix” partners.

OUTLINE OF PROJECT IDEA

The Climate Valley Initiative will create a network of regional and local initiatives on climate change and related sustainable development issues, in order to set up joint projects and stimulate local energy initiatives, “clean tech” or circular economy solutions, focusing on new products (and services) based on recycling and cradle to cradle principles.

Climate Valley will create a network of regional and local initiatives on climate change and related sustainable development issues, focusing on new products (and services) based on recycling and cradle to cradle principles.

It was based on a network of local public-private, “quadrupel helix” partnership (government, knowledge,

business, civic society) and setting up local pilots and bottom-up initiatives in this field.

Compared to other initiatives, the Climate Valley Initiative does not cover large-scale projects for carbon-reduction or address high ranking governmental agencies, large industries, or experts on one hand, or local initiatives on the other side of the scale, but instead would like to build a bridge between these mostly

separately operating networks. The overall idea is, however, working from a bottom-up perspective and using the local initiatives as a starting point.

We are an open network, and invite all related websites, platforms and networks to join us, or cross-link to us!
